Who are we?
Simply Satisfied Catering came about from our love of creating and sharing delicious, no-nonsense food with others. In addition, this company is dedicated to giving back to others in our local community. We look forward to you joining us at the table.
Jeff started his career in the culinary industry at the ripe age of 15, washing dishes at the restaurant his mother managed. From there, he has spent the last 30+ years as a server, chef, manager and, for the last ten years, catering company owner. He started Simply Satisfied Catering (formerly Inspiration Point Catering) as a way to combine his love of interacting with people and his love of creating food that his clients desire. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys watching sports (mainly his Pittsburgh Steelers), golfing, trying new restaurants and reading. He attempts to live every day as Troy Polamalu would.
Kathy graduated with honors from both Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2013 and then from Michigan State College of the Law in 2016. After three years of law school and months spent preparing for and taking the California Bar Examination, she decided that practicing law was not for her...at least not at the present moment. She then joined Simply Satisfied Catering in 2017 as an Event Coordinator, bringing together her loves of food and planning. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys sports (mainly the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco Giants), traveling, murder mysteries and trivia. She is also trying to convince herself that she can learn to love running.
Ginger is still the face of Simply Satisfied Catering (for obvious reasons). This spunky and loving beagle was an expert leftovers-tester for all of her 15.5 years of life. Even though Ginger crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2020, we still know that she is watching over us, salivating as we prepare and serve our food.
Mamma Mia is the other face of Simply Satisfied Catering (also for obvious reasons). This 18 year old cat prefers cat food and treats to people food. In her spare time, she enjoys surveying the property, birdwatching and stealing your chair when you get up. She is just as surprised as the rest of us that a beagle was able to become her best friend.
Cosmo is the newest face of Simply Satisfied, who was rescued by a local organization after being found on the streets of Tijuana. We were told that he was a beagle mix, though he is actually a poodle, pit bull, chihuahua, basset hound, German shepherd and cocker spaniel mix. Though he isn’t part beagle, he definitely possesses the same smelling and taste-testing skills as his sister, Ginger. He enjoys running, playing with his chew toys, and then running around with his chew toys in his mouth. He and Mamma Mia are slowly learning to cuddle near each other.
Brands we love: Jeff and Kathy were both born and raised this area and love using local products and supporting local businesses when they can. Some of the brands we love using include Sola Bee Honey, Pedrick Produce, Great Bear Vineyards and Grindstone Wines.
